Excel Idea Tech is seeking a Database Administrator who can help manage day-to-day database operations while improving resilience, performance, security, and documentation. The right candidate is comfortable investigating issues, communicating clearly, and working across application, cloud, and infrastructure teams.
What you may work on
- Database installation, configuration, patching, monitoring, and maintenance
- Backup, recovery, high-availability, and disaster-recovery procedures
- Query analysis, indexing, performance tuning, and capacity planning
- User access, least-privilege controls, audit support, and data protection
- Cloud database platforms such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL
- Automation, operational documentation, and incident troubleshooting
What helps you succeed
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or comparable platforms
- Strong SQL fundamentals and a methodical troubleshooting approach
- Understanding of database security, availability, and change management
- Clear written and verbal communication with technical and business stakeholders
